About Katie
As a new tutor, I am excited about helping students reach their full potential and achieve academic success. I have a good understanding of the subjects that I provide tutoring for and a talent for explaining complex concepts in a clear and accessible way. In addition, being a university student has taught me a great deal about studying and learning, and I wish to pass on this knowledge to students.
I am patient, supportive, and encouraging, creating a safe and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring their learning material.
I take pride in the service I provide for students and will go above and beyond to ensure students develop in their education.
I am dedicated to helping each student reach their academic goals no matter their current academic level. My goal is to help students develop confidence in their academic abilities and reassure them that they are in good hands.

My approach to tutoring involves understanding the individual's needs and learning styles to tailor their lesson to them. This includes identifying their particular learning style and areas of weakness and developing a personalized plan to strengthen those areas by providing additional resources and practice materials and going through the student's learning material, and working on the learning exercises they find challenging.
Tutoring lessons can be tailored to fit each student's individual schedule and needs. Therefore, the length of a lesson is depended on the individual.
I have a Diploma in Applied Science from AUT. I am studying for a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Auckland. As a new tutor, I am excited to bring my passion for learning and dedication to helping students excel in their education.
I provide tutoring for students from Year 7 to Year 12.
