About the lesson

My teaching approach for guitar is centered on building both technical skill and deep musical understanding. I tailor lessons to suit each student’s level, from absolute beginners to advanced players. We focus on core techniques like finger placement, strumming, and picking, while also diving into music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises. I help students explore various guitar styles—classical, jazz, electric, acoustic, and bass—so they can find their own voice.

Beyond technique, I introduce students to the roots of music genres, especially the blues and gospel traditions. We discuss how cultural influences and history have shaped guitar music over time. I believe understanding the story behind the sound helps students connect more deeply with what they play.

For those seeking to lead or inspire through music, I provide the tools and confidence to perform with heart and authenticity. Whether playing soulful blues riffs or heartfelt worship melodies, I support students in developing expressive, meaningful playing. I use songs, storytelling, and improvisation to keep lessons engaging and creative.

Every session is designed to be encouraging and motivating. My goal is to help students not just learn, but love playing guitar.
