About Rhea

My guitar teaching approach focuses on both skill and understanding. I help students play well while also learning the history and roots of the music they love. We explore genres, cultural influences, and how traditions shape modern guitar playing. This helps students connect deeply with their instrument.

I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, whether it’s playing soulful blues, leading worship songs, or developing a personal style. We cover chords, fingerpicking, rhythm, improvisation, and expression step by step. I also introduce music theory and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship.

I encourage students to explore the origins of different styles and how they influence today’s music. Lessons are structured but flexible, balancing technical work with creative exploration. I support students in building confidence, refining technique, and expressing themselves through the guitar.

My aim is to help learners enjoy their journey, reach their musical goals, and grow both technically and emotionally. Whether you’re starting out or advancing your skills, I guide you every step of the way.

About the lesson

I’m a guitar tutor with a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar) and over 10 years of experience performing and teaching across multiple genres. I’ve played everything from rock and blues to classical and folk, and I love bringing this variety into my lessons.

My approach combines strong technical training with practical, real-world playing. I focus on helping students develop both skill and confidence. Whether you’re a young beginner or an adult returning to music, I tailor lessons to your pace and goals.

We cover technique, chords, scales, improvisation, and musical expression, while also exploring the musical styles that inspire you. I emphasize creativity, feel, and musicality alongside solid foundational skills. Lessons are fun, engaging, and always designed to keep you motivated.

I enjoy seeing students grow, gain confidence, and connect with their instrument emotionally. My goal is to help every student find their unique voice on the guitar. With guidance, practice, and encouragement, you can achieve more than you ever thought possible.
