About Amy
Hi, I’m Amy Welch — a passionate business and marketing educator with more than 16 years of experience helping students discover their potential and prepare for successful futures. I currently teach at Walhalla High School in South Carolina, where I focus on personal finance, marketing, digital design, and career readiness. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Education from the University of Georgia and a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Furman University. I am also a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), which allows me to provide professional-level guidance in career planning, goal setting, and workforce readiness. Over the years, I’ve been honored to receive recognition as Teacher of the Year twice and serve as a finalist for School District of Oconee County Teacher of the Year. Beyond the classroom, I’ve served as a DECA advisor for 15 years and on the South Carolina DECA Board of Directors. I love guiding students through competitive events, community service projects, and leadership opportunities that help them apply classroom skills in real-world contexts. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in themselves—whether through crafting a powerful résumé, delivering a winning pitch, or finding a career path that fits their strengths. My goal is to make every student feel capable, prepared, and inspired to take charge of their future.

As a dedicated educator with over 16 years of experience in business and marketing education, I believe that real-world learning and hands-on practice are the keys to lasting success.
