About Lilah
Writing has always been more than a hobby for me. It's how I make sense of the world. I spend much of my time writing poetry that explores perspective, human emotion, self-discovery, and the inner landscape of the soul. I believe the most meaningful writing comes from honesty, vulnerability, and the courage to look within.
As a self-taught writer, I've developed my craft through constant practice, curiosity, and a deep love for language. I'm especially drawn to rich imagery, symbolism, and writing that evokes emotion and invites readers to see the world from a new perspective. My work is rooted in authenticity, and I encourage my students to write from the heart rather than trying to imitate someone else's style.
My goal as a tutor is to help you discover your own creative voice. I want you to feel free to experiment, take creative risks, and express yourself without fear of judgment. Whether you're writing poetry, journaling, or creating stories, I'll guide you with thoughtful feedback, creative exercises, and genuine encouragement.
I don't believe there's one "right" way to write. Every person has a unique perspective, and I love helping students transform their thoughts, emotions, and experiences into writing that feels honest, vivid, and uniquely their own. Every writer has a unique voice, and my goal is to help you discover and strengthen yours. My lessons are tailored to your individual interests, experience level, and creative goals, whether you're just beginning your writing journey or looking to refine your craft.
We'll explore poetry, creative writing, and free writing through engaging exercises designed to spark imagination, improve technique, and build confidence. Rather than focusing only on rules, I encourage experimentation and self-expression while providing thoughtful, constructive feedback to help you grow with each piece you write.
Lessons may include writing prompts, brainstorming techniques, discussions of imagery, symbolism, rhythm, voice, and storytelling, as well as guided revisions that help transform rough drafts into polished work. Free writing exercises are also a key part of my approach, helping you overcome writer's block, generate fresh ideas, and write more naturally.
I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can take creative risks, ask questions, and enjoy the writing process. Whether your goal is personal expression, improving your skills, building a portfolio, or simply finding joy in writing, I'll provide encouragement, practical guidance, and personalized feedback every step of the way.
