About Charlotte
I always loved reading and writing when I was young and loved studying English at school. Despite this, I initially struggled to get my head around the GCSE syllabi for English Language and Literature. Even if you love to read and write, navigating the minefield of the academic study of English can be a real challenge. I want to help students navigate this minefield so they can secure top grades in English exams.
I initially taught both English and Maths in a local tuition centre, working with students from Reception all the way to Year 11. When I went to study Politics at the University of Warwick, I carried on tutoring and worked on several tuition programs in local schools. This year, I helped deliver a Bootcamp covering GCSE English Language and English Literature.
Beyond my academic studies, I am currently writing a play and a book.

I have experience as a tutor both within private tuition centers and as a mentor and tutor in secondary schools. I believe that teaching should be fun and engaging, and I spend time working out how students learn most effectively (e.g. using visual or audio aides) to make my lessons as impactful as possible. I have worked with students at all levels of education and of all abilities so am able to provide lessons for all ages. I do, however, specialise in the GCSE English Language and English Literature courses.
