About Amna

I’m a graduate of the University of Warwick with a degree in Biochemistry, and I currently serve as the Head of Chemistry. With years of teaching experience and a passion for helping students succeed, I am dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of Chemistry and exam strategies. As an experienced Pearson examiner, I have an in-depth understanding of exam formats, grading criteria, and what students need to do to achieve top marks. This unique insight allows me to offer targeted guidance that aligns with the specific expectations of exam boards, helping students improve both their subject knowledge and exam performance. I’ve been tutoring for 5+ years, helping students of all levels—from GCSE to A-level—develop confidence in their studies. Whether it's mastering complex concepts, refining exam techniques, or tackling past papers, I tailor my lessons to meet each student’s individual needs and learning style. My approach is results-driven, with a strong focus on exam preparation techniques like time management, question analysis, and how to approach tricky topics effectively. By combining my expertise in Chemistry with a deep understanding of the exam process, I’m able to provide high-quality tutoring that equips students with the tools they need for success.

Targeted Exam Strategies: I specialise in breaking down exam formats and identifying the most common patterns, so you can approach each paper with confidence. Focused Revision: We’ll work through your syllabus in a structured way, ensuring we cover all key areas while honing in on your weak spots. Practice Makes Perfect: We’ll use past exam papers, practice questions, and mock tests to replicate the actual exam experience. This helps build familiarity and reduces test anxiety. Active Engagement: I don’t believe in passive learning. Expect interactive lessons where you’ll be actively involved—whether it’s through solving problems, engaging in discussions, or testing out new strategies. Feedback and Improvement: After each session, I provide feedback on areas of strength and areas to work on. This helps you track your progress and make improvements efficiently.
