About Herman
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and spent my childhood in Canada. I moved to New Zealand 6 years ago and spent my college and currently my university years studying a conjoint of Law and Business (BCom/LLB) here in Tauranga. Some of my interests are reading, skiing, and recently karate! While I am new to academic tutoring, I am a certified ski instructor with strong experience in teaching and adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and confidence levels. Whether you are struggling with a particular subject or simply want to improve your grades, we will together be able to set clear goals and work to achieve them.

- My teaching style is relaxed and goal-focused. I try to make sure my student is enjoying themselves when they learn while achieving the goals we set out for them. - Lessons may vary to fit the student's need, ranging from 30 minutes to an hour or longer. - No experience as an academic tutor. However, I am a certified ski instructor and have experience instructing and teaching in that context. This has given me a solid foundation to adapt to different learning styles and communicating concepts clearly. -My lessons are for school students of any age or ability level.
