About Madelyn
I am a University of Toronto student going into my first year of commerce studies. In high school I was a four-year honor roll recipient as well as a three-time OFSAA qualifier. This is to say I know how challenging balancing school with life can be. That is why I hope to offer a way to help other students so that they can find their own version of success. I am patient and understanding and do my best to ensure that my students feel confident in what they learn. I find it so rewarding when I get to see that someone I have taught feels confident in their abilities.

I would typically start a session by allowing the client to tell me where their struggles are and what they are not understanding. From there I would reteach the material allowing the client to ask any questions that they may have about the material. Then, I would gauge what they have understood with some practice questions and clear up any other problems they may have with the material.
My goal as a tutor is to provide my students with the confidence to approach any problem they may have. I also want to give them the skills to feel sure in the answers that they give.
I have been a student for nearly all of my life and I know the stress that comes along with it. I also have seen how different kids can think so differently from one another. I hope to adjust my material to my students so that they have the best chance to excel. These lessons are for anyone in elementary or middle school or in grade 9 or 10.
