About Shreyaj

I’m Shreyaj, a first-year Engineering Science student at the University of Toronto with a strong background in math and physics. Having gone through the same challenges that middle and high school students face, I know how important it is to have someone explain concepts in a way that’s clear, simple, and engaging. What you can expect from me is a tutoring experience that’s not just about solving problems, but about building real understanding and confidence. I’ve tutored my younger brother and peers, and I’ve seen how using easy analogies and step-by-step problem solving can turn confusing topics into something that finally “clicks.” My goal is to help students feel less stressed and more motivated, whether they’re working to improve their grades or preparing for exams. As an Engineering student, I bring both academic rigor and a relatable perspective to my lessons. I take professionalism seriously—showing up prepared, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs, and creating a safe, supportive space for learning. At the same time, I make sure the lessons are approachable and encouraging so students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

About the lesson

When I teach, my main goal is to make learning less confusing and more fun. I know what it feels like to be stuck on a tough math or physics problem, so I break concepts down into simple steps and real-life examples that actually make sense. I don’t just give answers—I guide students with questions so they can figure things out on their own and feel confident.

In a typical lesson, we’ll start with a quick review to make sure the basics are clear. Then I’ll explain the new topic in a straightforward way, and we’ll practice problems together—first with my help, then independently. I always take extra time to go over mistakes, not just to fix them, but to understand why they happened.

What makes me different is that I like to explain concepts using memorable analogies. For example, when I taught my younger brother about protons, neutrons, and electrons, I used a simple story that he still remembers years later. I’ve learned that when lessons stick, they make learning much easier.

My lessons are for middle school and high school students who want to build a stronger understanding of math and physics, improve grades, or prep for exams. I adapt my sessions to each student’s pace and style so they leave each lesson feeling more confident.
