About Katie Rose
Hello! My name is Katie Rose and I am a BFA graduate from the University of the Arts and a professional artist and writer! In school, I completed my university's honors program and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Since then, I have spent my time teaching and engaging in my own writing and artistic practices (which include dancing, sculpture, and video editing).
I am a skilled multidisciplinary artist and writer with both a strong academic record and real world experience.
I have experience in teaching and in multiple fields, making me a well-rounded and pragmatic tutor. I draw from my many disciplines to come up with creative lessons and create ways of learning that actually work for my students! I am invested in tailoring lessons to meet students where they are and I cater to how individuals learn best in order to make sure you get the most out of our lessons!
And don't worry! I also care about bringing fun and enjoyment into our lessons, providing a supportive learning environment so you can come out of our lessons inspired and smarter!

Skilled with knowledge across a variety of disciplines, I come to the table with a variety of ways to problem-solve and help my students learn. In college, I completed my university's honor's program and graduated top of my class! I have a very strong academic record!
I have taught in a variety of settings, from dance classes in inner-city public schools to one-on-one virtual english tutoring (and more!). I know how to adapt to what a student needs and to use all of the tools we can access to help a student thrive!
I care about meeting students where they are, and I am passionate about disability justice. Students with learning disabilities can feel confident that my lessons will be tailored to their needs.
I am offering tutoring in a variety of subjects:
- English/Language Arts tutoring for grades 1-8
- History tutoring for grades 1-8
- Writing help for all levels (editing for college essays or thesis work, help with grant-writing, feedback on creative writing)
- Dance tutoring/training (I am trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop) - all ages and levels (we will work together to assess your level)
- Art classes in jewelry making and collage - all ages and ability levels
- Feedback on artwork (can be feedback on thesis work, work that is being submitted for galleries, or work in progress)
