My teaching approach is making the learning experience as personal as possible, by getting to know my students well and relating the material into a framework that they already understand. Whether it be through their interests, their past experiences, or through what they are passionate about outside the classroom, my goal is to facilitate the deepest understanding of the material at hand and to make our lessons a fun and relaxed space where my students enjoy the process of learning together with me.
My lessons are adapted to the structure of the coursework and the needs of my students as they advance through the semester; this could mean that our lessons could have more of a lecture format to better lock in key concepts, an active format working through homework problems together, or a test format where we simulate what it would be like on exam day based on their week-to-week needs.
My lessons are for any undergraduate student studying a Mechanical Engineering degree (for more advanced mechanical engineering materials) or any Engineering degree that requires introductory classes such as Calculus and Engineering Physics.

I highly recommend Ashley. I was taking partial differential equations, and the teacher did not speak English very well, making it very hard to learn. After my first quiz, I needed to reach out for tutoring, and my mom recommended Ashley. She was amazing. She walked me through all the slides for my notes and helped me with my homework, which really boosted my confidence in the class. She explained things very thoroughly, which made it easy to grasp the subject. Thanks to her, I was able to salvage my grade and end up with a high B. If you ever have a teacher who can’t speak English that well or just need some extra tutoring on the subject, I would highly recommend her.
Ashley is the best! She has helped me with a wide range of subjects, from accounting to physics, and is always so patient, helpful, and accommodating. She explains things in a way that is really easy to understand and never makes you feel bad for asking questions.
It is also clear that she puts time into understanding the material beforehand so she can make each session as helpful as possible. She is great at meeting you where you are and explaining things in different ways until they click. I always leave our sessions feeling much more confident. I would absolutely recommend her!View more recommendations
