About Sania

I have always had a strong passion for mathematics and have continued to stay connected to it even while pursuing a degree in Psychology, as it remains a subject I genuinely enjoy and value. Throughout my own studies, I developed a strong understanding of mathematical problem-solving, exam technique, and approaching challenging topics through consistent practice and past paper work. Results wise I obtained a high grade 8 for GCSEs, and a grade A for A level, with a high B on the boundary of the A for Further Maths.

Like many students, I experienced periods where certain mathematical concepts felt difficult to understand, which has helped me become patient and understanding when teaching others. Having worked through those challenges myself, I understand how important it is to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching to suit different learning styles.

I have often helped classmates understand difficult mathematical topics, and seeing their confidence grow and hearing that my explanations helped them succeed motivated me to continue supporting others. Tutoring allows me to combine my passion for maths with the fulfilment of helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic goals.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on building understanding through clear explanations, worked examples, and regular practice. I like to break topics down into simple steps, then use multiple examples to show how and why a method works before moving on to independent questions. Repetition and practice are a key part of my teaching style, as they help strengthen confidence and improve exam technique.

I also share my own experience from studying A-Level Mathematics and AS Further Mathematics, including strategies and approaches that helped me tackle difficult topics and exam-style questions. I aim to create a supportive and flexible learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working at their own pace.

Lessons are flexible in length, typically between 45 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and the topic being covered.

While I do not have formal professional tutoring experience, I have regularly helped classmates with mathematical topics and explaining difficult concepts, which has strengthened my ability to teach clearly and adapt explanations.

My lessons are for students in Years 10–13 studying Mathematics (GCSE and A-Level), and for Year 12 students studying AS Further Mathematics.
