About Alyssa

I finished my alevels in the summer of 2024 and am now studying Psychology at University of Southampton!
I studied Alevel Chemistry, Psychology and History, receiving A,A*, A respectively in each.
I am looking to inspire confidence and creativity in my students, hoping I can instill a good work ethic and enjoyment for learning!!

About the lesson

I am a very student led tutor. I cater my sessions to my student, so the first lesson will be a short free get to know me so that we know we are a great fit!!
Lessons will go on for an hour and are catered towards anyone doing GCSEs or younger

I have received Grade 7sin both English literature and English Language, so am very well versed in this area.

Excellent! She asked lots if questions to try to engage my son and when he was struggling to answer she expertly rephrased or expanded the question to allow him to try again. Overall a positive first session.

Alyssa has been working with my son for the last 7 or 8 months. He is a reluctant student and didn't want to have tutoring but needed it due to low prediction for GCSE. Alyssa has been very patient, encouraging and supportive with him. Even though he is still adamant that he doesn't like English, we have seen a big difference in his understanding and so have his teachers. I believe that without Alyssa's help my son would have had no chance of passing his GCSE. Fingers crossed for results day!
I would highly recommend Alyssa as a tutor.
