About Lucila
My name is Lucila. I was born and raised in Argentina, and I moved to Canada just a few years ago!
I am a Queen's University student with a strong interest in biology, environmental science, ecology, and the outdoors. My hobbies include sports, sailing, hiking, camping, and water sports.
I am a kind and welcoming person, and through my experiences I have learned to be patient and understanding with people of all ages and backgrounds. I truly enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge and skills with others, and I find it very fulfilling to support students in their learning.

When teaching Spanish, I believe it is most effective to focus on real communication rather than memorization alone. I incorporate everyday scenarios, role-play, and contextualized instruction, teaching grammar, listening, and speaking together instead of as isolated skills.
I adapt my lesson plans based on each student’s needs and goals, while prioritizing a strong foundation in basic and general concepts before progressing to more specific situations as the student’s proficiency develops
My experience working with children has given me a strong understanding of how learning approaches differ by age. I am well suited to teaching students aged 5 to 18, and as a native Spanish speaker, I am able to teach learners of all levels, including adults.
