Hey there! I'm Jillian, a 26-year-old student at the University of Toronto, studying neuro-linguistics. I'm super passionate about how the brain works with language and love sharing my knowledge. I aim to create a supportive and fun learning space where everyone can succeed. My Teaching Approach: My tutoring sessions are built around clarity, engagement, and real growth. -Active Learning – Reading and writing with purpose and interaction. -Step-by-Step Support – Breaking down complex tasks like essays and literary analysis. -Confidence Building – Creating a relaxed, encouraging space to learn and ask questions. -Targeted OSSLT Prep – Teaching strategies to succeed in both multiple-choice and written sections. A Typical Lesson Includes: -Warm-up activity (grammar, vocab, or OSSLT-style question) -Skill-building lesson (e.g. writing structure, comprehension strategies) -Practice + feedback -Recap & homework (optional but encouraged) Each session is designed around your needs, level, and pace. Who the lessons are for: -Middle School (Grades 6–8) – Foundations in reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. -High School (Grades 9–12) – Essay writing, literary analysis, reading comprehension, and more. -OSSLT Preparation – Full support for test structure, practice questions, and strategies. -ESL Students – Additional support for language learners adjusting to academic English.
