About Rachel
I have an excellent knowledge of the Ontario English curriculum, having worked with YRDSB as a tutor for summer schools. I have mentored students in English professionally for over two years, and I have a particularly sharp eye for grammar and essay structure. Hello there! My approach to helping you succeed in your English class is to help you master the fundamentals of the English curriculum - i.e forming a solid understanding of literary devices, essay analysis, grammar, etc. - with a hands-on methodology. In English, you can't just memorize the formula of an essay; you really have to understand their makeup! That is where I come in. I will tailor our sessions to fit your learning style in order to ensure a successful, positive experience.
