About Finlay
My name is Finlay and I am going in to my 3rd year of my undergraduate history degree at the University of Bristol. Having completed my exams in recent memory, I have prided myself on my pristine national examination results, as I attained straight As in all my exams from 8 National 5s, through to 5 Highers, through 3 Advanced Highers. Of these 16 As, 13 of which were A band 1s meaning I attained a result of over 85% in these. As a result of this, I think I have a pretty good idea as to how to revise and answer exam based questions in ways which the SQA favour. The recency of me completing these exams also gives me a great insight into tutoring those at school as there will be great similarities in the way in which questions will be marked between when I answered them, giving my own revision notes good validity and meaning the content will not be foreign to myself. As a current student, I understand the importance of creating a fun and productive learning environment, meaning I would be very open to the use of technology and other means to get the best out of those I am teaching.
