About Faatima

Hi! I’m Faatima Shahid, a dedicated and friendly tutor with a passion for helping students develop confidence and understanding in math. I believe that everyone can succeed in math with the right guidance and encouragement. I have experience supporting learners of all ages up to GCSE level, from those who need to strengthen their foundations to students aiming for top grades. My lessons are structured, engaging, and fully tailored to each student’s needs. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving step by step. I’m patient, approachable, and committed to helping my students reach their full potential — not just in exams, but in how they think about problem-solving and learning. About the lesson

Teaching Methods and Techniques: I focus on building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts rather than memorization. I do this by using clear, step-by-step explanations and interactive practice to make math engaging and less intimidating. To give my students the most beneficial lessons I adapt my teaching style to match the student's pace and skillset. A Typical Lesson Plan: Each session begins with a quick review of previous topics to reinforce understanding. I then introduce a new concept with guided examples and encourage students to solve similar problems independently. We finish with a short recap and a few practice questions to check progress. I also give tailored feedback and optional homework to strengthen weak areas. What Sets Me Apart: I’m a patient and encouraging tutor who helps students feel confident in math, even if they’ve struggled before. I break down complex problems into simple, manageable steps and use positive reinforcement to keep motivation high. My friendly approach helps students enjoy learning and believe in their own ability.
