About William
My name is William Roberts and I am a second year student studying History at the University of Southampton. Being a high ranking Russell Group university, only the best is expected of me and I will ensure that I reflect my determinationto my tutee to make sure they succeed. I achieved 9 GCSE's grade 9-5 with a 7 in History and at A-Level I received an A in History, a B in English and a C in Law, alongside completing an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) about the development of technology during World War One, so I'm no stranger to hard work.

I will discuss with my tutee what level of understanding they have with History so I can begin tutoring them. Then I shall ask what exam board they are doing, then discuss what subjects they are weakest in. I believe it is best to begin with the topics they struggle with most to ensure they have a strong and dependable knowledge base. During my time at sixth form, I was head of mentoring, so I know how to communicate with people younger than me in a way that they'd understand. My lessons would be geared towards GCSE students as I know how stressful exam season can be with the constant approach of looming exam dates, but I will ensure that my tutee will be confident as I will also go over how to answer exam questions and revision techniques.
