About Alessandra
I am a first-year student who recently graduated high school as a part of the ATAR system. I tutored Mathematics and English (particularly for year 7 to 9 students) between 2019 to 2020. My part-time job also involved mentoring young adults in a work environment, between 2018 to 2021. I received a 98.90 ATAR in 2020, as a part of the Mt St Michael's Honour Roll with an 'A' equivalent in Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Physics, English, and Study of Religion. I also was the joint dux for Year 12 Specialist Mathematics in 2020, and dux of Modern History in 2019.

My first priority is always building a comfortable learning environment so everyone can learn in a judgement-free zone. I have tutored numerous students, each with very different strengths and learning styles, so I value the importance of taking time to cater my lessons in accordance with how they learn best. Often if the student finds a particular subject or topic difficult, I like to work together to establish the basic procedures and problem-solving skills, and then strive to go through more basic questions for them to gradually build their confidence. Other students will find topics a breeze, in this case I like to either find more challenging questions with them, and give them tricks and tips that I have learnt to apply in exam situations.
