About the lesson

As a dedicated and passionate tutor with over 10 years of experience—and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering—I, Shaina, bring a structured, empathetic, and engaging approach to every lesson. I’ve also spent 5 years as a university professor, which gives me the ability to simplify even the most complex topics for learners of all ages. Teaching Methodology: My method is student-centered and adaptive. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding and learning style, and then tailor the lessons accordingly. I use real-life examples, visual aids, and step-by-step breakdowns to build clarity and confidence. For younger students, I incorporate games and interactive exercises to keep learning fun and effective. Typical Lesson Plan: Each session begins with a quick review of previous concepts to reinforce memory. This is followed by a focused lesson on a specific topic, including guided practice and real-time problem-solving. We end with a summary and a short assignment or revision plan to keep progress steady. What Sets Me Apart: Over a decade of tutoring experience and university-level teaching Ability to travel to students’ homes for convenient and personalized instruction Deep academic knowledge with a warm, approachable teaching style Proven track record of improved grades and increased confidence in students Who I Teach: Elementary to high school students (Grades 1–12) University students needing help in math, physics, or engineering concepts Learners preparing for standardized tests or entrance exams Students needing personalized support in STEM subjects I believe every child can shine with the right guidance—and I’m here to make that happen through Shine Home Tutor.
