About Jason
I hold a Ph.D. in history and a M.A. in Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies from the University of South Florida, as well as a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from North Carolina State University. I have also taught college history, Latin American studies, and Spanish courses as a university professor for 20 years. Additionally, I am an internationally recognized scholar in my field and have traveled the world presenting my research at academic conferences in places such as Australia, Portugal, and Hawaii. I am also the host of an internationally recognized scholarly podcast (The Surfing Historian), which entails interviewing colleagues, other scholars, and professors about their research interests and scholarly publications. In short, I know what college entails (as a student and as a faculty member) and I am happy to help.

I hold a Ph.D. in history and have been a university professor for 20 years. I know the university system, how to apply, how to ensure you maximize your time as a student and graduate on time, as well as how to manage your time and study effectively. I would be happy to provide you with insight and guidance, as well as help you write your statement of purpose/application letter, or assist you with other seemingly daunting tasks associated with the college application process.
