In the years (2003-2016) I worked alongside John in the Department of Academic Enrichment (formerly Department of Develompmental Instruction) at Bloomsburg University, I observed his skill in the classroom for getting students involved in their learning. His knowledge of the writing process and his passion for teaching enrich the lives of his students supporting them into success. He was a valued member of the department.

My journey at Bloomsburg University was a long and hard traveled road, Professor John was a bright spot in a dark time. He inspired me to expand my knowledge on novels and continue to learn about my own writing as well as the different options I had to go with my degree. When I had a problem I knew that he would respond to any question I had and try and be as helpful as possible. He is a man of true value and great character, and as long as he continues to teach students will continue to be lead down a path of knowledge and courage.
