About Molefi
I am a qualified Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering Honours degree in Electrical Engineering. I have more than a decade of professional engineering experience, working with complex electrical systems, technical investigations, maintenance, energy management and engineering projects.
My engineering background has given me a strong foundation in Mathematics and problem-solving. Throughout my career, I have seen how important a good understanding of Mathematics is, not only for passing examinations but also for developing logical thinking and solving real-world problems.
I am interested in teaching because I enjoy helping students understand concepts that may initially seem difficult. I believe that many students can perform much better in Mathematics when concepts are explained patiently, clearly and in a way that relates to what they already understand.
As a tutor, I aim to create a professional, supportive and comfortable learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions without fear of making mistakes. I focus on understanding the student's individual challenges, strengthening the fundamentals and gradually building confidence through worked examples and practice.
My goal is not simply to help students obtain the correct answer, but to help them understand the reasoning behind each solution so that they can approach new problems independently and with confidence.
I am particularly passionate about supporting high-school learners who want to improve their Mathematics results, prepare for tests and examinations, or build a stronger mathematical foundation for future studies in engineering, science, technology and other technical fields.

My approach to Mathematics tutoring is practical, structured and focused on helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorising formulae. With a background in Electrical Engineering, I use logical problem-solving techniques and real-world examples to make Mathematics easier to understand and more relevant.
I teach primarily in English and explain concepts in clear simple language. I am patient and adapt my teaching style to the student's level, pace and areas of difficulty.
A typical lesson starts by identifying the student's current understanding and any problem areas. I then explain the underlying concept step by step, work through examples with the student, and provide practice questions to build confidence. I also focus on exam techniques, problem-solving strategies, checking calculations and understanding how to approach unfamiliar questions.
My lessons are suitable for high-school learners who need support with Mathematics, including learners preparing for tests and examinations. I can also assist students transitioning into university-level Mathematics or studying technical and engineering-related subjects where a strong mathematical foundation is required.
What makes my lessons different is my ability to connect Mathematics to practical engineering and everyday applications. My goal is not only to help students obtain the correct answer, but also to understand why the method works so that they can apply the same reasoning independently in future problems.
