About Eleanor
Hi, I'm Eleanor! I am an Oxford University graduate with an MSc in Clinical Embryology, and I have a first class honours BSc in Medical Biosciences from Imperial College London. I am passionate about scientific research as it allows me to make new discoveries, and I am excited to share my passion for learning with students. I have always been a conscientious and diligent student and set myself specific goals in terms of revision and exams to excel and now want to share what I have learned.
I have worked professionally as a tutor for over two years, and the 2 years prior I worked as a nanny, so I have experience working with children and helping with school work, as well as tutoring family members and working as a peer mentor whilst in sixth form. My hobbies include music, baking, and sport- I love running and I am training for a half marathon! Whilst science is my chosen career, I love reading literature and philosophy, and believe that a well rounded skill set and subject knowledge is important to success in any sector.

With over two years of tutoring experience, I have learned the best techniques for learning and memory to pass important exams, and in doing so, have a track record of students acheiving top grades and university offers.
I understand the pressures and stress that exams can cause, and want to do my best to encourage students and boost their confidence so that learning is something they enjoy! I ensure lessons are fun as well as focused, to work smarter, not harder. Repetition is key to long-term memory, so regular recaps of content will allow me to identify any gaps in knowledge.
A typical lesson is split in half, first covering content, then applying this to exam questions. The main focus will be exam technique using strategies that I found were most effective for learning and revision to help push the student to achieve those top grades.
