About Priya
I have developed a strong academic foundation in English and a genuine passion for helping students build confidence in their writing and critical thinking. I want to teach because I find it rewarding to help students move from confusion to clarity. My experience comes from regularly tutoring my younger siblings and peers, which has taught me patience, adaptability and the importance of explaining concepts in a simple, structured way. I focus on helping students improve both their understanding and their exam performance through clear, supportive and goal-oriented lessons. My aim is to create a professional yet approachable learning environment that reassures both students and parents of consistent progress and reliability.

My approach to teaching English has been shaped not only academically, but personally. Growing up, I regularly helped teach and mentor my younger siblings, and throughout school I became the person friends turned to for essay feedback, interpretation help and exam preparation. These experiences taught me that strong writing comes from strong thinking. My sessions focus on close reading, analytical depth and helping students develop arguments that feel intellectually rigorous rather than formulaic. My lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are suited for primary, secondary, VCE and first-year university students seeking support in English and essay writing.
