I came to Ali halfway through Year 13 in a bit of a panic — I was taking Further Maths and Physics, aiming for a place at a Russell Group university, and was struggling with the harder topics: complex numbers, differential equations and a lot of the mechanics module in Physics. My school teacher was good but the pace was too fast and I'd quietly fallen behind.

Ali was the first person who actually slowed down with me and rebuilt the foundations properly. He clearly loves the subject — you can tell within five minutes of talking to him — and that enthusiasm rubs off. He doesn't just teach you how to answer the exam question; he teaches you how the maths actually works, which made everything else suddenly click.
I ended up with an A in Further Maths and an A* in Physics, and got into my first-choice university. I honestly don't think I'd have got there without him. A genuinely exceptional tutor.

I started lessons with Ali in Year 12 after struggling badly with A-Level Maths — I'd gone from a 9 at GCSE to genuinely thinking I'd have to drop the subject. From the very first session Ali changed that. He has this rare ability to break down complicated topics into steps that actually make sense, and he never makes you feel stupid for asking. We worked through calculus, mechanics and statistics together, and by the end of Year 13 I'd gone from a predicted D to an A in my mocks.

What stood out most was how prepared he always was — he'd remember exactly where we'd left off, bring tailored past-paper questions, and check in between lessons to see how I was getting on. I genuinely couldn't recommend him more highly.
