I am a mathematics instructor at a major US university, and have been for nearly 10 years. My teaching focuses on examples and questions. I teach a principle and show how it is applied. I ask you questions as we go to guide your learning and make the exercise a collaborative process. I also make sure you ask me as many questions as you need along the way. Eventually, I will hand the examples to you to do while I observe to make sure you are on track for success!
I apply this technique in the classroom when I teach and when working one-on-one with students, and I find it an effective way of enhancing the learning experience and making the knowledge stick.
I specialize in teaching and tutoring advanced high school and undergraduate (and some graduate) university mathematics.
