About Dev

I am a student at the University of Manchester, I study Aerospace engineering and before that in high school I had done the IB diploma. I have received many awards for the best performance over the course of my education including an award for having the best result out of all the members of my course at university. While this would make many people assume I’m a study-holic, I prefer to keep my life chill and low-key and I think this combination of my achievements and my approach would benefit a lot of students out there today.

About the lesson

Hi my name is Dev and my approach to tutoring is breaking down what the student understands and using that to explain the concepts that are a little more difficult to understand. I like to keep the atmosphere chilled out and not too serious so that the lessons are still fun and a different pace from the stress of a classroom. I think that being stressed is the main cause why students struggle with their subjects and I will first try to tackle that before tackling the material.

Perfect! You can tell Dev really loves math, so it was infectious. It's the first time that math has felt fun. He has a great way of leading you through a question so you can understand what is needed and answer it yourself. Would highly recommend.

William is super creative and curious and is an absolute treat to teach. One of the smartest kids and teaching him is easy since he already understands most concepts.

Dev was the year above me in high school and he single handedly saved me from failing. He creates such a fun atmosphere and really focusses on students' strengths rather than weaknesses and slowly he helps you realize everything can be your strength!

Dev taught me a few months ago and his approach was really nice and chill. Our lessons went over some A-level maths and he broke it down in a very nice and simple way. He also created a super-fun atmosphere during our lessons by playing music and bringing snacks and it felt more like a hang out than a lesson. I would recommend Dev to be your tutor for sure since I ended up getting an A* in maths while I was predicted an A
