About Abhi

Hi, I’m Abhi. I’m a neuroscience honors student at the University of Arizona with experience in science, research, and clinical settings, including conducting neuroscience research, administering EEGs, and assisting with concussion rehabilitation. I tutor students of all ages, from young children to university students, in a variety of subjects including science, math up to Algebra, English, and advanced topics such as introductory neuroscience, anatomy, and physiology. I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply instead of just memorizing facts, using clear explanations, real-world examples, and guided problem-solving to make learning engaging and meaningful. My lessons are patient, structured, and tailored to each student’s level and goals, helping them build confidence, master material, and develop critical thinking skills. With a strong STEM background, leadership experience, and hands-on exposure to clinical and academic environments, I provide lessons that are professional, supportive, and designed to help every student succeed and feel confident in their abilities.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students understand concepts deeply and develop strong problem-solving skills. I use a concept-first method, breaking complex topics into clear steps, using examples, visual aids, and guided practice to make learning engaging and meaningful. Lessons are tailored to the student’s level and goals, whether they are building foundational knowledge or exploring advanced topics like introductory neuroscience, anatomy, or physiology.

A typical lesson might look like this:

Review: Go over previous material and clarify any lingering questions.
Concept Introduction: Present the new topic with clear explanations, visual aids, and real-world examples.
Guided Practice: Work through problems together, gradually increasing independence.
Independent Application: The student practices on their own while I provide support as needed.
Wrap-Up & Strategies: Summarize key takeaways and discuss strategies for homework, studying, or exams.

This structured approach helps students gain confidence, master challenging material, and develop analytical thinking skills while keeping lessons interactive and supportive. I work with students at all levels, from young learners to university courses, in science, math up to Algebra, English, and other subjects they study.
