About Kate
I have been teaching since I received my first degree and my passion for English has led me to publish books and academic journal articles on many aspects of literature and language. I have a particular interest in supporting students who face challenges such as dyslexia, anxiety, depression, trauma, and autism related conditions.

All of my teaching takes place online within a Bramble room and students will receive copies of the full annotated PDF and sound recording of the tutoring session afterwards via an email link. Sessions usually last one hour, and I focus on University students, A level students and GCSE students. At university level I teach students from first year undergraduates to final year PhD students, specialising in Modernist literature, the Victorian novel, and Walter Benjamin.
I tutor A level students in literature, and GCSE students in English Language and English Literature. I have been teaching for 15 years and I have a doctorate, a Masters Degree with Distinction and a Bachelors Degree, First Class Honours.
