About Luca

Although currently a Lecturer at Bournemouth University, I am a native Italian speaker and I have obtained my BSc and MSc at the Università di Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Over the last 10 years I have been offering Italian private lessons to a wide variety of students, from secondary school pupils, to adults. In my classes I like to maintain a balance between grammar and conversation in order to improve your practical skills and allow to have a fluent conversation when visiting Italy. In my lessons, I like to add elements of Italian culture, cuisine (you will receive a lot of tips whether you ask for them or not), geography, history and travelling destinations.

About the lesson

Throughout the years I have worked with all kind of young students and adult professionals. My students have always reached their targets, exams or professional needs, and they did so in a casual but professional environment. I believe that a good student-teacher relationship is paramount when learning a new language, and for this reason I have always aimed at building trust and positivity within the learning environment.
