About the lesson

I am a university lecturer in a department of community social sciences. I am a qualified nurse, with 20 years experience in nursing and senior management . I have a degree in education, PGCHE, and am just about to complete a Professional Doctorate in Nursing.
I also have FHEA status.
I have experience teaching NVQ, BTEC,GCSE & A Level in Further Education, Post Graduate Nursing and Gp training and undergraduates in University. I have around 10 years total experience. I have 3 years experience in tutoring students .
I am very enthusiastic and try to be an interactive teacher, using multi media, quizzes, blogs and other methods to impart knowledge and get students engaged.I am patient and have a good sense of humour which helps in this role.
My specialist area is social history and risk but I also teach sociology, public health and management. I have previously taught English at GCSE level and a variety of NVQ,BTEC and Access courses.
