About Caresse
I am an educator and an academic researcher with a background in the classical humanities and Great Books. I work at the intersection of painting and poetry and travel widely for my research. I have been to Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Cyprus, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Jamaica, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, and the U.K. This year, I hope to travel to Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, Botswana, and Tanzania. I am a major dog lover and the proud mother of a six-year-old Bichon-Poodle mix named Oedipus, affectionately known as Oeddie Perfect. I am an avid consumer of Italian art, an inexorable hunter of French antiques, and a diehard member of the Beyhive.

I am a Princeton-educated literary scholar with over ten years of classroom experience teaching ELA, English, and Comparative Literature courses at the high school, college, and university levels. I offer support with the AP English Language and Composition and the AP English Literature and Composition courses and exams and provide SAT, ACT, and GRE Test Prep. I can also teach students in the IB Curriculum and AP Capstone Diploma program. My classroom is a warm, welcoming place where I empower my students to find their voices and to develop confidence in the expression of their ideas. Feel free to contact me for a free demo lesson!
