About Mihlali

Hi there! My name is Mihlali, and I’m a student at the University of Johannesburg with a real love for English and communication. I achieved excellent results in English throughout high school. I know what it feels like to struggle with certain topics or to feel unsure of yourself in class, and that’s why I’m passionate about tutoring. My lessons are all about meeting you where you are, understanding how you learn best, and then working together to reach your goals. Let me help you.

About the lesson

My tutoring style is student-centred and interactive. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to suit their learning style — whether they are visual, auditory, or practical learners.What makes me unique as a tutor is my debating background, which allows me to teach students not only how to use English correctly, but also how to express themselves confidently.
I am proficient in English.
A typical lesson with me is well-structured yet flexible:
We start with a short recap to assess progress.
Then we move into the main topic (grammar, writing, comprehension, essay skills, or public speaking).
I incorporate interactive activities such as short writing tasks, debate-style exercises, or discussions.
Finally, we end with feedback and practical tips for improvement.
My lessons are for high school students (Grade 8–12) needing help with English language, literature, or exam prep.
Students who want to build public speaking and debating skills to boost their confidence and communication.
