About Sheldon
I’m a 24-year-old law graduate from the University of Stellenbosch, now based in London. I recently moved from South Africa, so I understand what it takes to adapt quickly, work under pressure, and stay disciplined in a new environment.
I’ve built a strong foundation in analytical thinking, problem solving, and clear communication through my legal training. That translates directly into how I teach and support students, especially in subjects like maths where structure and logic matter.
I’m someone who takes responsibility seriously. If I’m working with a student, I’m focused on getting them measurable progress, not just getting through the lesson. I’m patient but direct, and I don’t let students stay stuck in the same patterns that are holding them back.
At the same time, I’m approachable and easy to work with. I remember what it’s like to be in their position, which makes it easier to explain things in a way that actually makes sense.

My approach is simple. I figure out exactly where a student is struggling, whether that is gaps in core concepts, exam technique, or confidence, and then build lessons around fixing those specific issues. No generic teaching, no wasted time.
Lessons are structured but relaxed. I explain concepts in plain language, break problems down step by step, and make sure students understand the “why” behind what they are doing. I also focus heavily on exam technique, because knowing the maths is one thing, but knowing how to pick up marks under pressure is what actually moves grades.
I keep things interactive. Students are expected to think, attempt, make mistakes, and improve. That is where real progress happens.
Whether the goal is moving from a 4 to a 6 or pushing into the top grades, the focus is always the same. Build confidence, sharpen technique, and get results.
