About Mark
My name is Mark I graduated in Physics and Chemistry from Exeter University and have since pursued an Open University degree in Math. I have taught these three subjects both in person and online for over 40 years, to all levels up to University Entrance. Some of my past students have gone on to Oxford and Cambridge. I am passionate about my subjects and I want to communicate that passion to all of you people. The only requirement from you is that you have an ever-inquiring mind which is always demanding to know and understand the world around us.

First task is to ascertain the level of understanding of the student(s). This is to avoid talking down to them or going over their heads. Thence engage the class with incremental ideas, all the time encouraging the students to come up with their own thoughts and perspectives. We then reinforce the concepts with exercises: some routine, some challenging, some familiar, some novel and quirky. This strategy works both in person and remotely, by using sophisticated CAD software and video links. Approximately 1 hour is the optimum duration for a lesson, before fatigue and/or confusion sets in. The approach works for all levels and all ages up to University Entrance.
