About Niko

I am a Cambridge student from Trinidad and Tobago, currently on a full scholarship from my government. I think that learning can be a really empowering thing, but our education system doesn't really foster an environment where one can experience this joy. I'd like to create a comfortable environment for all of my students, where they can rediscover this joy on the way to more conventional measures of success.

About the lesson

I tutored extensively during my secondary school years and my gap year in my home country of Trinidad and Tobago. At times in my secondary schooling, as the head boy of my college I would take over a class of 30 - 40 in the absence of a teacher. I will be open for hour long slots, and I am open to tutoring anyone at any level (primary or secondary) but would excel at tutoring for Art, Maths, and Physics at the GCSE level. I would also be able to tutor these subjects at the A level standard, but this would require more preparation on my part. My methodology varies depending on the student and the subject, so we can discuss what works best for you.

Niko has an extremely well-rounded and versatile skill set which makes for a brilliant tutor. His breadth of knowledge and understanding allows him to see beyond the scope of the specific subject or discipline, instead offering a holistic framework of thought that is consequently more critical. His work in the University of Cambridge architecture department was reflective of this: interdisciplinary, thoughtful and contextual. Importantly, the translation of this broad framework into his pedagogy takes no compromises; he offers clear and grounded explanations of key concepts that are never without real-life examples. Niko is an astoundingly clear educator in many avenues.
