About Alys
I discovered my passion for languages, particularly French language and French culture, at the age of 11, and ever since, I’ve been inspired to help younger students build confidence and excitement in their language-learning journey. I believe that fostering confidence and making the process enjoyable are the cornerstones of effective learning. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where students can explore and fall in love with languages while developing their skills in a natural and relaxed environment. I tailor each session to suit individual needs, ensuring that language learning is both productive and fun, and helps students to improve their skills using topics that interest them.

In my lessons I will focus on developing students' confidence in their French language skills, focusing on speaking, reading and listening skills, as well as providing feedback on written work. I will be providing 30 minute lessons for GCSE and A level students in French, as well as conversation sessions for students with a CEFR level of A1-B2 in French. I achieved a level 9 in French at GCSE an A in A level, and I have a degree in French, Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Bristol. I have spent 4 months living, studying and working in France, which helped me to develop my fluency and conversational skills.
