About Yana

Hi there! I’m Yana, a passionate maths tutor dedicated to transforming the way students perceive and excel in mathematics. Graduating with a predicted first class in BSc in Economics this year from the University of Bristol and over 5 years of experience in tutoring students of all ages, I've developed a unique approach to teaching that is not just about solving problems, but understanding the 'why' and 'how' behind them. I have learned to love teaching and am particularly motivated by seeing my student's confidence grow along with their improved grades. Maths can be daunting. But, with the right guidance, whether you're struggling with basic concepts or advanced topics, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. My teaching philosophy revolves around patience, personalised learning, and building a solid foundation to ensure long-term success. I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to working together!

About the lesson

I am based in Nottingham and am able to teach both online and in person for either 30 minute or 1 hour sessions. Having received a strong 2:1 degree from the University of Bristol, BSc Economics, I am well equipped to teach Maths from KS2 level up to A level standards, as well as Econometrics at undergraduate level.
