About Kaustubh
I am an undergraduate university student at University of California, Merced, currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Oftentimes the first one to finish my math tests in high school, I was usually the one who my classmates would ask to explain a difficult concept. After doing that almost all of high school I realized that everyone learns differently and there is no set style for everyone, which is what the school system gets wrong because they make everyone follow the textbook method. But when I'm teaching you, I guarantee you will learn the concept, ace your next test, and actually grow a liking for the subject because I am prepared to teach you your way.

First I'm going to see if the student has any issue with math in his school, as that's one of the primary reasons for math tutoring. However, I'm not going to take the same textbook approach as his schoolteacher might. Instead, I'm going to ask them to show me the specific concept they are struggling with and tailor a lesson plan that covers that topic from as many angles as I need to. What sets me apart as a tutor is the amount of experience I have, as I volunteered for an organization named Jeena in high school that catered to special needs kids, which is why I am good at accommodating different students' needs. I also volunteered for an organization named DCA Tutors, which was an initiative by some of my peers to provide free remote tutoring to anyone in the country who was interested, and ended up receiving a Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award for each. The lessons I intend to teach are pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry; most of the students who are in need of lessons in those subjects are generally in 7th-10th grade.
