About Madeline

Hi I'm Maddy! I am currently undergraduate at the University of Leeds studying Biological Sciences (Mbiol). I achieved top grades at GCSE and A-level in a wide breadth of subjects, and have had many success stories from previous tutees. I have done work at AQA in the summers during my studies and so understand what examiners are looking for and the most common (and easily fixed) mistakes students make. Having not so long ago sat GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand the stress and pressure to achieve your personal goals. I pride myself on investing time and effort into each of my tutees, and have a passion for helping my students reaching grades they didn't think they could.

About the lesson

- If it's just securing a pass, or excelling to achieve top grades, I offer personalised, in-depth online tutoring for all abilities. My approach is highly individualised for the tutee with tried and tested methods to reach the grades needed. - My lessons aren't just your typical run through the syllabus, they prioritise true understanding of the content and give my students confidence to tackle anything. - My typical lesson length is an hour, but there is flexibility for longer sessions if it's better suited - The usual structure of my lessons will be either going through specific difficult topics for my tutee, or if my support is required we will systematically go through topics in list of priority that we will have discussed. We will always do a review of the topic at the end of the lesson and will do example questions from real exam papers to check on understanding.

Madeline tutored my son for his final year in high school, he had really been struggling to achieve a pass grade and with Maddy's excellent help and support he managed to score a grade 6, a 4 grade jump from his average! She was patient and explained concepts he found difficult in a simplistic nature and was incredibly flexible with his needs as a student. I couldn't recommend her more!
