About Jay
I am a current undergraduate student of Philosophy, who aims to be a teacher in the future. I have been told that I have a unique ability to each people complex ideas and theories with relative ease whilst maintaining conceptual fluency.
But what makes me different from other tutors? I'm a young person, I have been through the school system and exams, so I know how hard it can be to prepare for these exams, and how daunting it can be; however, it is from my experience that I can confidently say that with the right preparation anyone can be ready to perform excellently!
I have a background in the humanities, having studied politics, philosophy and modern history at A-level, and currently studying philosophy at university as a top student. This background means I have great in-depth knowledge of a range of subjects for many age ranges.

I am fully flexible to the needs and wants of my students, I can offer lessons from 30 to 90 minutes long through a number of mediums.
Each lesson is tailor made to be responsive to the demands of students and their current capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and where they need to be aiming.
I can tutor for many age ranges, from pupils preparing for their SATs, those revising for GCSEs, and also students preparing to take their A-levels.
My lessons will offer a relaxed environment that is conducive to constructive learning with tried-and-tested pedagogical methods; I'm not just a tutor, but also here to support you on your journey to academic success!
