About Angelina

As a pre-veterinary student, I would consider myself motivated to expand my knowledge. In doing such, I’ve developed a variety of study methods to suit myself and my peers; all of which are versatile to accommodate different learning styles. I have also learned to observe concepts from different angles in order to gain a more thorough understanding, which can be applied to all areas of study, including yours! I enjoy helping other people, especially students. I was once a middle school student struggling with my curriculum who also looked to outside tutoring for help. I love sharing my knowledge (especially biology!), and being able to help other students simultaneously is extremely rewarding.

About the lesson

I accommodate different learning styles in my lessons based on student preference, but as a visual learner myself, I rely on lots of drawing/visual aids. If a student is struggling, I am always willing to rephrase and/or break down the concept before revisiting the ‘big picture’. I am also a huge fan of practice quiz/test questions, which is a HUGE part in evaluating a student’s knowledge!

Ideally, we would consult (free!) to discuss the current concepts being taught in school, then highlight which areas the student is confident in and which areas they are struggling in. Based on this, I would design a lesson(s) customized to the student’s needs. Any graded tests/quizzes/homework/etc. can be shared for review as well.

I come from a largely science based background as this is my field of interest, but I am confident in my math/english skills as well.
I am willing to assist any age group, but I would consider myself most qualified for k-12 students. As a college student myself, peer tutoring is NOT my specialty. I would be more than happy to take on lower level college students, so feel free to contact me to see if I can accommodate your needs at this level!

Details

Free lesson time is used as a consult! It is time to personally introduce myself as well as meet you, discuss how you learn best, and what subject(s) you need the most help with. Based on this, I can go over how I could best teach you and ultimately decide if we will be a good match. You will not be cut off at 30 minutes, this is just an estimate. This would be a virtual visit unless otherwise requested.

I am willing to commute outside of my radius but a travel fee would be applied based on distance, which would be discussed prior to scheduling!
