About Ella

I am currently studying BSc Biological Sciences (Cells and Development) at university, where I focus on cellular biology, molecular processes, and developmental systems. My degree has strengthened both my scientific knowledge and my analytical thinking skills, which I bring directly into my tutoring.

I have a genuine passion for biology and the sciences, and I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into clear, understandable explanations. Studying at degree level has given me a deeper understanding of the GCSE curriculum, allowing me to explain not just what students need to know, but why it works - which greatly improves retention and confidence.

Alongside my academic studies, I am committed to helping students reach their potential. I understand the challenges of GCSE exams and the pressure students face, and I aim to create a supportive, structured learning environment that builds both skill and self-belief.

About the lesson

I am an experienced GCSE tutor specialising in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics at GCSE standard. I focus on helping students currently working at Grade 5/6 reach Grade 8/9 through structured lessons, exam-focused strategies, and confidence building.

With a strong academic background in the sciences and mathematics, I have developed clear, effective methods for explaining complex topics in a simple, memorable way. My tutoring approach combines:
