About Mila
I understand what it's like to be in a challenging math, science, or engineering course because I'm actively pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at UNC Charlotte. As a Dean's List student with extensive experience in STEM coursework and academic organizations, I know the study habits, problem-solving strategies, and learning techniques that help students succeed. My goal is to provide more than just answers. I work to build confidence, strengthen understanding, and help students develop skills they can use independently in future courses. Every lesson is approached with professionalism, patience, and genuine investment in each student's success.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students build confidence and truly understand concepts rather than simply memorizing solutions. As a tutor with a strong STEM background, I break down complex topics into manageable steps and adapt my teaching style to each student's learning needs. I emphasize problem-solving strategies, critical thinking, and study techniques that students can continue using long after our sessions.
I also share proven study methods, time-management strategies, and test-taking techniques that I have developed throughout my academic journey. My goal is not only to help students succeed in their current courses but also to help them become independent, effective learners.I have extensive experience with both community college and university-level coursework, particularly in STEM disciplines. Having navigated challenging mathematics, science, and engineering courses myself, I understand the obstacles students commonly face and how to overcome them.
Beyond teaching course material, I provide insight into academic planning, study habits, and future educational pathways. I help students develop efficient learning strategies that improve both their understanding and academic performance. My combination of technical expertise, patience, and real-world academic experience allows me to connect with students and explain difficult concepts in a way that makes sense.
