About Halima
My name is Halima Mohamed and I am a Biomedical Student. My admiration for teaching came from my time at school as I would always be the student who would go up to the board to answer questions. It made me confident to be able to explain methods in front of my peers and genuinely see them grasp and understand exactly what I was saying. I then started this journey of teaching by making my first ever study group with other students in my class. When I reached 16 years of age I started tutoring young ages and made my way up. Teaching is extremely helpful and beneficial to not only my students but to me as well. It keeps my mind stimulated. I am a fun tutor who has a unique way of helping others understand concepts and will always go the extra mile for you as I was once in your shoes and I want nothing more than for my students to feel confident about every concept they are taught or find difficult.

My methodology of teaching is first testing the childs ability with an exam of my own to figure out weaknesses and strengths. After every topic taught a set of exam-style questions will be given to ensure student is able to transfer knowledge and skills into real life exam practice. I use various forms of teaching from interactive teaching, independent study and my most common and very effective form of teaching being the student explaining concepts back to me as this solidifies knowledge even further. I am an experienced tutor from ages as young as 6 all the way to 17 years. Typical lengths of lessons vary from 1-2 hours or 3-4 hours using Pomodoro technique.
