About Isabella

I am an encouraging, enthusiastic and nurturing tutor, currently studying at Trinity College, Cambridge, following the completion of my A Levels at Charterhouse School.
I have a massive passion for my subject and enjoy being able to extend that to children and teenagers through education. I have taught at a vast plethora of different levels, from young children in primary schools undertaking their first Creative Writing tasks to students sitting their final A-level exams.
In my experience, the educational system can let children down at times; the chaotic, sometimes stressful midst of the classroom and the lack of focalised attention on one child does not always allow for the growth required to achieve academic brilliance. I pride myself on an ability to help a child achieve the results they need in a way that specifically suits them, with most of my students being on track for As and A*s in their exams (or Grade 9 at GCSE.)

About the lesson

I aim to equip every child I teach with the educational excellence and moral encouragement needed to flourish academically. To begin my tutoring process, I conduct a free trial lesson, whereby I determine the child’s strengths and their areas for improvement. I then draw up a report and devise a series of lesson plans specifically tailored to that child’s needs.
I typically offer as many lessons as the client feels necessary, comprehensive homework tasks and feedback every week, extra revision lessons during exam season, and the ability to contact me any time, outside of lesson hours, for homework help or further support.
I have tutored children from Year Nine up to A-level standard and worked with younger children in schools. I am extremely well acquainted with the UK mark schemes and have achieved consistently high grades in English, both at GCSE and A-Level, enabling me to study at Trinity College, Cambridge.

Isabella has been tutoring my daughter (Y11) for 2 months, improving her grade from 7/8 to consistent 9. Isabella is punctual, professional, with great dedication and passion for both tutoring and her subject. Having consistently achieved A* in English herself, her knowledge of exam requirements and preparation techniques, literary analysis and creative writing techniques is incredible, and she is able so well to not only impart her knowledge, but motivate my daughter to study harder in all her subjects. Isabella is always available outside lessons, when my daughter needs clarification on her HW also. Lessons are very well structured, yet adaptable to my daughter's specific worries and needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Isabella!
