About Maria
I was a tutor for GCSE German from 2016 and 2018 and have been working as a KS3 and GCSE Maths and English tutor for the past two months, supporting students in their transition to fully-online learning over the lockdown.

I am excited to impart my general love of grammar to my students and help them become confident communicators in French and German. I myself have had the recent experience of picking up Russian from complete beginner level and am able to appreciate and cater to the needs of students still getting to grips with the basics of French and German. I strive to support my students in becoming secure in areas of their subjects which they perhaps don’t enjoy as much or grasp as well, by challenging them to think differently about questions put in front of them and encouraging resilience and enthusiasm. This in practice would include a greater focus on the practical applications of a topic we are exploring and suggesting alternative approaches to solving particular problems.
